Bakhmaro

The drive from Batumi to Bakhmaro goes through Kobuleti, Ozurgeti and Chokhatauri. Along the way, in Nabeghlavi village, you can stop by the plant that bottles the mineral water of the same name. From there, the road climbs into the mountains through forested slopes and the Bzhuzhi River valley to the resort. Bakhmaro is a high-mountain resort in Guria, located at an altitude of around 2,000 metres. As you climb, dense greenery gives way to open mountain meadows and wide panoramas. On a clear day, you can see the surrounding ridges and distant views towards the Black Sea. In Bakhmaro, enjoy a walk through the settlement, take in its traditional wooden cottages and unwind away from the city. Allow plenty of time for the drive: the mountain section is winding, and road conditions and access to the resort depend on the season, weather and roadworks.
