Who needs 4×4
Four-wheel drive helps on passes, wet gravel and winter switchbacks. For Batumi, Kobuleti and the highway toward Bakuriani a crossover is often enough; for Svaneti, high roads and “just in case” dirt, guests take a Pajero IO or similar SUV. Each car page says which trips that model fits.
Prices
SUVs cost more than compact automatics. As with the rest of the fleet, 7+ days are cheaper than 1–2 days, and the season changes the rate. The “from” price without dates is the long-rental rate, not a weekend quote. The year grid is on the prices page.
Included
No deposit, unlimited mileage, insurance of the type for that car, free cancellation. 4×4 cars use more fuel than a Fiesta: the spec block gives an estimate. City and BUS delivery use the same separate fees as for smaller cars.
Terms
Licence and passport. Driving in Georgia is allowed, borders are not. Off-road trophy tracks and river crossings are not implied: 4×4 is for roads and typical tourist dirt, not experiments. Damage outside agreed use is the renter’s cost.
Insurance
The same rules as the rest of the fleet. Stones, wheels and glass on dirt roads are not “included by default”. After an accident, contact us and complete the paperwork the situation requires.
Delivery
An SUV can be delivered to a Batumi address or to BUS. Collection is a separate service. A taller car does not change the fee: delivery is not priced by vehicle class.
Airport
If you land at BUS and head for the mountains, picking up a 4×4 there is convenient. Confirm the flight: SUVs are prepared like any other car, but the model choice is narrower than city automatics.
Driver
4×4 experience helps; we do not run an off-road course. If a category B licence is valid, the manager confirms handover. Tell us the route and we will say whether you need a hard 4×4 or an Outlander is enough.
